Bus passes are expensive. Unfortunately cars and gas are even more so. No-win situation.

My room is such a mess right now but everytime I start to clean it I get distracted by fic or some new game and then I procrastinate. And then I bring in more clean laundry and it won't even fit in my closet anymore so I have to put it on the floor.

I am insanely happy that SGA fandom has made me (IMO) better at arty things. I can do actual backgrounds now! Next step - proper colouring. Oh and I have to remember that planning is very important when trying to do anything porny.

Been reading a lot of John/Meredith fic lately and I think I have to bump up genderswap!Rodney on my to-do-list.

Listening to 90s music (in small doses) always makes me feel better, even if it is the horribly cheesy boy band type. Is it sad that I still know the lyrics to all those songs?

I really, really love conventions. I realized that even if I could go to a Stargate or a Supernatural con, I don't really care that much about the autographs or the photo ops (although getting photo with or even better IN the Impala would be amazing). It's more just the feeling of being there at the con, getting to be fangirly and geeky and meeting people. Everyone was smiling and happy and you gotta love that feeling. As weird as this sounds I hope that I got to make some people's con experience a little better. It was good to see people smile when they saw the taiko girls running by. Con crash, of course, is not as fun. I think I slept 14 hours last night and I was still tired when I got to work lol

Missed my flist. I think I'm caught up with everyone though. Got a spot on mcshep_match and I can't wait until prompts go up.

On the to-do-list:
-finish spn_j2_bigbang art. It's coming guys, almost finished!

Thinking of buying a tablet. Just a small one. jenzay says I can get one for $70. Will preorder Silver Dissidia PSP bundle, coming in August. Oh, and ordering a button-maker for next year's AE. I'd like to do FFXII prints for next year, possibly a Vagrant Story one even though it probably won't sell, and maybe some SGA and SPN. There was one vendor that had lots of sci-fi tshirts that apparently sold out pretty quick, even though they were $27. Do people in TV fandoms ever even sell prints? I've only ever been to Anime Evolution so I don't know if people even do that.

12 hours, 1 burned finger, and $35 later, it's done! Well, mine is. momogiri's needs some final touch-ups that we'll do tomorrow morning. I'm getting pretty excited :D

I think I found John Sheppard's house. Someone was airing their laundry and it was all black t-shirts, black pants, and BLUE STRIPED BOXERS.

AE costume is 60% done! Yay! Just have to go to Dressew tomorrow and do some finishing on Wed. Cutting it close, but it should turn out ok. It seems pretty good so far at least. Will be a busy busy week.

Just realized that mcshep_match has 5 artists PER TEAM, not 5 artists total. That makes me slightly more optimistic about getting a spot. I'm still undecided re: war vs peace. I've made icons, but for both teams, so I guess we'll see what happens Friday.

I might end up having to draw my entry for kink_bingo instead of making a manip. It's HARD to find good quality photos of WWII aces, plus manipping them makes me feel dirty and wrong and not in a good way. I'm... pretty excited about it actually. I'm lucky I got some easy kinks so my art will still be PG-13 lol

If I had a business, I'd totally use Stargate Connecions, Inc for my internet.

There are actually a lot of guests this year, including a bunch of people that guest-starred on SGA and SPN. BC sci-fi has a very small pool of actors. Look, it's that girl from Bloody Mary! Dr. Watson! The voice of Hermiod! Wait, Brendan Gall was the voice of Inuyasha?

Why is the Stargate Vancouver con in April? I'd never be able to make it in April T___T

I might be able to make the Supernatural one but that's a heavy might. I've looked up costs and the more general tickets aren't too bad.

Questions about Creation Cons:

1. The general admission says that the tickets/package doesn't include evening events. What are they usually? Is it the dinners with the guests? Cause I could stand to miss that.

2. Do Creation Cons have a good rep? I've heard mixed things about their handling of cons, but I'd like to know more why.

Sexy, sexy jacket. I know it's not screen-accurate, but it's a real jacket, and it's wearable, and nggh. They have Liquid's coat too, but that one doesn't bring back nearly as nice memories (BRRRRROTHER!!!!)

To offset the suckiness IRL right now, I'm calling a multi-fandom Festival of Hugs! Comment with platonic hugging, naked hugging, hugging of small fuzzy animals! I'll probably be lucky if I get even one person participating, but whatever.
